From: Linda on 29 Aug 2007 07:53 I posted a few weeks back wondering if I might be pregnant, but I didn't really know what the chances were (still nursing DD and I thought my system might be just eratic getting back to normal) so I didn't want to waste money on a test. Well after a couple more weeks of waiting, no period, and still feeling yuck I finally just went out a got a test - and it came up positive!! I was happy but kind of surprised as I was hoping, but not really thinking I could be. Went to the doc to have it confirmed the next day. Only problem now is because I waited I can't get an appointment to have an ultrasound at 12/13 weeks in the public system (and we don't have private insurance). Hopefully I can still get one at 18 weeks instead, and I should have heard the heartbeat by then a few times with any luck, but it just makes me a bit nervous as it would be nice to see pictures and know everything is (theoretically) ok before we go telling everyone. Anyway, between the sickness and tiredness (from pregnancy and DD nursing all night last night - REALLY) it's all very exciting.
