It is public, true. But under law, it can't be copied without your
permission. Public doesn't mean anyone else has a right to copy it. And,
unless otherwise stated, anything written is automatically copyrighted.
That's the law. I am not saying it is enforced or that I should have an
expectation that people won't copy it. In fact, in newsgroups, enforcing
the letter of the law would end conversations.
