Perhaps not, but I have been immensely helped by being one who is
guided more by practical experience rather than precepts or theory.

And I rather think my liver and kidneys are healthier for it.

Biases indeed - and at a more fundamental level it is amply
demonstrative of the entrenched, triangulated and incestous corruption
that
occurs between pharma, the AMA (including physicians) and the
"research"
community (& the medical education system in general.)
