From: MommyBusyBee on 6 Jul 2010 13:44 Hi everyone! My name is Jessica and I'm a newbie from Indianapolis. I apologize if I'm writing my introduction in the wrong area, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. On top of that, I always feel weird delving into conversations without a proper intro. Anyhoo. . .I'm very glad to be here. I've been wanting to join a parenting forum for a while and out of the few I've discovered, this appears to be the best one. I have two wonderful little girls and I love them dearly. I hope to gain some great advice and meet other parents like myself! Take care, everyone! :) -- MommyBusyBee

ParentingBanter.com appropriates these discussions and allows you to participate through a web forum. Many people choose to access these groups through a newsreader (e.g. Outlook Express). ParentingBanter.com steals content from Usenet.. For those of you who are unfamiliar with newsgroups or Usenet http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/what-is/part1 and http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/what-is/part2 No one "owns" Usenet and the groups that are redirected into ParentingBanter.com are mostly unmoderated. The feed that steal pretends to be a service and is really just a gateway into another discussion area. You're liable to see flaming, bad language, bad behaviour and a whole bunch of really objectionable stuff if you look hard enough. But, as you continue to look, you'll see some real gems of information and some *very* knowledgeable folks. ParentingBanter.com doesn't own Usenet, and thankfully has no control over its content and the feeds are stolen freely . We just want to look like the good guys, and we know that most people who use ParentingBanter will not read this disclaimer. Usenet can be harsh at times - but the parenting newsgroup community as a whole has unparrelled (I can't spell) knowledge and can be amazingly helpful. To participate in the discussions through ParentingBanter.com, you will need to register. Registration is quick and free. This is how we make money, as we will sell your email address to spammers. You can avoid this by accessing Usenet via a real newsreader. I strongly recommend before posting for the first time to read through previous posts in the forum to get a feel for the style of that group. If there is a FAQ, please read it. =Please note, when posting from this website you are not only posting to this website forum, but to the newsgroup. Your message will be propagated to many hundreds / thousands of servers and will end up in other newsgroup archives such as this (E.g. http://groups.google.com). To sum things up, I really hope you enjoy participating in these newsgroups , but read at your own risk. > > Anyhoo. . .I'm very glad to be here.
