Gaurav Vishwakarma (nine months), Karnika Thakur (11 months) and Rohini (13 months) died yesterday, one day after being given the vaccines at the Anganwadi Kendra camp in Damoh.

Being a live vaccine, an expired measles vaccine would be essentially inert. And why diarrhoea, anyway? Why so soon? It is far more likely that these children had an incidental diarrhoeal illness, such as Rotavirus or E coli, which are commonly fatal in third world countries.
